NewsFlash! Error on Approval Notices Issued by Vermont Service Center

Due to a system error, certain I-797B approval notices, recently issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Vermont Service Center (VSC), fail to list the name of the first beneficiary (alphabetically, by surname) in instances where there are multiple beneficiaries. In response to an inquiry on this issue by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the VSC responded as follows:

“The Vermont Service Center is aware of a system error currently affecting the approval notices for petitions filed on behalf of multiple beneficiaries. At this time, we are actively working towards a solution. An amended notice will be mailed out as soon as the error has been rectified. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
