New Version of I-129 Required, Effective May 20, 2019

As of May 20, 2019, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will accept only the latest version of the petition for a nonimmigrant worker (form I-129), which has a 01/31/19 date printed at the bottom of each page. The USCIS will reject any prior version of the I-129 petition received at the USCIS on or after May 20, 2019.

The new version of the form does not contain any major changes from previous versions.

USCIS forms are routinely updated, so it is important for individuals, families, employers, and employees to ensure that an up-to-date version of the form is being submitted with every filing. Information on changes to forms can be found on the USCIS forms updates page on the USCIS website.
