NewsFlash! Start of H1B Registration Period Plagued by Technical Problems

The H1B registration period officially began at noon on Sunday, March 1, 2020; however, stakeholders across the nation are reporting technical problems with the H1B registration tool. In fact, as of the time of this writing, it appears the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has taken the registration tool offline completely while the technical problems are resolved.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) reports that it has been in communication with the USCIS regarding the technical problems. No further details have yet been provided. The H1B registration period is currently scheduled to run through noon on March 20, 2020.
