Reminder: New Regulation for High Skilled Workers Goes Into Effect Tuesday, 17.Jan.17

On January 17, 2017, a final immigration rule, primarily impacting high-skilled workers, goes into effect. The rule is intended to “improv[e] the ability of U.S. employers to hire and retain high-skilled workers … [and] increase[e] the ability of those workers to seek promotions, accept lateral positions with current employers, change employers, or pursue other employment options.” More details on the final rule are available in the MurthyDotCom NewsBrief, Overview of Final Regulation for High Skilled Workers (23.Nov.2016).
