Is there an option to amend a pending I-485? Also, should I send in medicals proactively before an RFE is issued?

Answer

There isn’t an amendment option with the I-485 on the form. But, there are situations in which something important (like a criminal matter) was omitted and a correction is filed proactively. Different attorneys handle the medical issue differently – and it depends, in part, on how long the case is likely to remain pending. It is not really a right or wrong decision, although, personally, I would want to know of any medical issues as early as possible to address them (like TB test issues). (09.Nov.2015)
