In order to enter the U.S. on my B-1/B-2 visa for two or three months, what is the minimum duration of valid visa required?

The issue isn’t the duration of the visa, but rather the duration of your passport. As long as you have a valid B-1/B-2 visa in your passport and your passport is valid for the duration of the requested period, plus 6 months (unless you are from one of the countries that only requires a passport with the duration of the requested period, like India), then you should be able to be admitted for up to 6 months on the B-2 visa.
