This is a complex question, and one in this situation should consult a qualified attorney. In general, though, a single DUI would not be a bar to obtaining U.S. citizenship. Multiple DUIs could be considered a “moral character” problem, however, if one is found to be a “habitual alcoholic.” (08.Oct.2018)
