NewsFlash! USCIS Updates Premium Processing Info for H1B Cap Cases

This evening, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that premium processing of H1B cap petitions requesting a change of status will begin on May 20, 2019. This means that, within 15 calendar days of May 20, the USCIS will take some adjudicative action on those H1B petitions selected in the lottery that were filed concurrently with a request for premium processing service (form I-907). Petitioners who do not file form I-907 concurrently with a cap-subject H1B petition requesting a change of status must wait until May 20 to submit form I-907.

For all H1B cap cases that are not requesting a change of status (e.g., consular processing), premium processing will be delayed until at least June 2019.

As soon as any new information is provided by the USCIS, the details will be posted on MurthyDotCom. Subscribe to the free MurthyBulletin to receive future updates.
