NewsFlash! USCIS Selects More H1B Lottery Registrations

In the past week, there have been unconfirmed reports that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) was planning on holding a second H1B lottery. This morning, the Murthy Law Firm began receiving notifications that some of our clients’ registrations, which were submitted in March 2020, have now been selected. Each employer for these selected registrations are being given through November 16, 2020 to file a cap-subject petition based on the registration. The registration notices indicate that these are “August 2020 Selection of Reserve Registrations.”

The USCIS has not yet made an official announcement regarding this second round of selections. It is unclear whether additional selection notifications are forthcoming.
