The number of new COVID cases in India has decreased significantly. Any chance the travel ban will be lifted soon?

It does not seem likely that the travel ban will be lifted in the immediate future. With the increase in COVID cases in the U.S. and elsewhere from the highly contagious Delta variant, the Biden Administration stated the travel ban will remain in place, for now. This move comes despite significant political pressure to lift the ban, and allow foreign nationals who have been vaccinated to travel to the U.S.  (29.Jul.2021)
