EducationUSA Serves as Global Resource for International Students

Each year, thousands of international students arrive in the United States to pursue higher education opportunities at U.S. universities. Researching higher education options in a foreign country can be a daunting task, especially given the thousands of academic programs available in the U.S. and the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. To address these barriers, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) has set up EducationUSA, a global network to help international students pursue higher education in the America.

About EducationUSA

EducationUSA is a network accessible to students around the world that offers accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the U.S. The DOS has established EducationUSA centers in U.S. embassies and consulates, Fulbright commissions, bi-national centers, universities, and nonprofit organizations across the globe. The EducationUSA website includes a portal for locating a local advising center.

EducationUSA Services for International Students

EducationUSA advisers offer in-person and virtual services to help students navigate the U.S. higher education application process. Advisers also provide information on standardized testing requirements, financing education in the U.S., the F-1 student visa process, and traveling to the United States.

The United States has a plethora of outstanding universities, and U.S. universities and colleges greatly benefit from attracting students from across the globe. For a foreign national interested in pursuing a degree from the U.S., the EducationUSA network can be an excellent resource.
