NewsFlash! USCIS Releases Details on FY27 H1B Cap and Electronic Registration System

Today, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the H1B registration period for fiscal year 2027 (FY27) will start at noon Eastern Time (ET) on March 4, 2026, and end at noon ET on March 19, 2026.

Background on Registration Process

In order to submit a registration, along with the required $215 registration fee, employers and their representatives must use a USCIS online account. More details on creating an account are available on the USCIS website.

Those with selected registrations during the initial registration period will be notified by March 31, 2026. If selected, the petitioning employer will be given a 90-day window to submit a corresponding H1B petition.
