July 2021 Visa Bulletin

Today, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) released the July 2021 Visa Bulletin. All cutoff dates listed refer to the dates in the final action chart (i.e., Chart A), unless otherwise specified. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has not yet indicated whether stakeholders will be able to use the dates for filings chart (i.e., Chart B) in July for purposes of applying for adjustment of status.

Visa Bulletin Summary

Employment-Based, First Preference (EB1) Category

The EB1 category remains current for all countries of chargeability.

Employment-Based, Second Preference (EB2) Category

The cutoff date for the EB2 category for India moves ahead to June 1, 2011. EB2 China advances to December 1, 2017. The EB2 category remains current for all other countries of chargeability.

Employment-Based, Third Preference (EB3) Category

The EB3 category for India moves up to January 1, 2013. EB3 China’s cutoff date advances to January 1, 2019. The EB3 category remains current for all other countries of chargeability.

EB3 Other Workers

With the exception of China, the cutoff dates for EB3 other workers are the same for each country as its respective EB3 cutoff dates. For China, the cutoff date for the EB3 category for other workers moves to December 1, 2009.

Employment-Based, Fourth Preference (EB4) Category

The cutoff date for the EB4 category for Mexico advances to February 1, 2020. The EB4 cutoff date for El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras moves ahead to December 1, 2018. This category remains current for all other countries of chargeability.

Employment-Based, Fifth Preference (EB5) Category

The EB5 category remains current for all countries of chargeability, other than China and Vietnam. For China, the EB5 cutoff date moves up to November 8, 2015. For Vietnam, the EB5 cutoff date advances to April 1, 2020.
