I got divorced after my I-140 was approved. If I get remarried, will I need to add my new spouse to the I-140?

Answer

There is no need to add a new spouse to a pending or approved I-140. Similarly, if you remarry while your I-485 is pending, there would typically be no need to add the spouse to your pending I-485. So long as the marriage takes place prior to the green card being approved, the new spouse can generally still apply for lawful permanent residency as your dependent. (28.Aug.2019)
