NewsFlash! Expanded Flexibility for Responding to USCIS Requests

On March 30, 2020, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the list of eligible case types for the 60-day extension of the deadline for response has been expanded. Based on the March 27, 2020 announcement, such eligible cases included requests for evidence (RFEs) and notices of intent to deny (NOIDs) dated between March 1 and May 1, 2020. The USCIS now has clarified that this flexibility also applies to certain notices of intent to revoke (NOIR) and notices of intent to terminate (NOIT) regional investment centers, as well as certain filing date requirements for Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal or Motion, dated between March 1 and May 1, 2020, inclusive.
