The U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on March 30, 2020, that previously submitted biometrics will be reused to process applications for employment authorization (Form I-765), submitted by any applicant who had an appointment scheduled with an application support center (ASC) on or after the March 18 closure or has filed an I-765 extension. This will remain in effect until ASCs reopen to the public.
The USCIS has not included other forms, such as the Application for an Extension of Change of Status (Form I-539), which require scheduling of biometrics appointments, in this announcement.
