I am on STEM-OPT, and my current employer has furloughed me. I found another employer located abroad that is willing to hire me. Would that be permitted?

Generally speaking, a person on STEM OPT can only work for a company that is enrolled in the e-verify program. Only U.S. companies are able to enroll in this program. Therefore, it does not seem this arrangement would be possible for a person on STEM OPT. (21.May.2020)
