What are the chances of the RAISE Act getting signed into law?

Answer

It seems highly unlikely that the RAISE Act will pass in its present form. There appears to be very little support for the bill in the Senate, so it may not even ever be put forth for a vote. And, even if it is, the bill that would be voted on would likely be significantly different from the proposed bill. (i.e. Changes will likely be made to it while it is being reviewed in committee.)

Keep in mind that there are numerous large-scale immigration bills proposed every year. It is extremely rare for any of these bills to make it to a vote, let alone to be signed into law. (07.Aug.2017)
