NewsFlash! Government Shutdown Averted, EB5 Extended

Last night, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a stopgap bill to fund the federal government through Friday, December 9, 2016. This bill also serves to extend the employment-based, fifth preference (EB5) regional center program for the same time period. This stopgap bill was also passed by the U.S. Senate earlier in the day. President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law later today.

Prior to the new December 9, 2016 deadline, Congress hopes to pass a more long-term spending bill and is expected to work on reauthorizing the regional center program, as well. Subscribe to the free MurthyBulletin to receive future updates.
