Several years ago, my mother was issued a 10-year B-2 visa, but she has never used it. She is now planning to visit the U.S. for the first time. Will the fact that she didn’t use the visa for a few years be a problem?

I worked for one year in H1B status in 2010. But, I then moved to H-4 status and my H1B petition was revoked. Can I move back to H1B status now without going through the lottery again?
